Tim McCracken is a leadership brand. Always the consummate professional, his management style and devotion to excellence are a true example of what servant leadership should look like. Before working for Tim, his reputation preceded him in the form of what we used to call “Tim’s Cheat Sheet”. This was just one example of something he created which impacted the business as a whole: an on-boarding/welcome packet of all of the things a thriving young professional needed to have at-the-ready, when starting with Samsung B2B. When I finally had the opportunity to report directly to Tim, he was my advocate. Actually, I used to refer to him as the “biggest, baddest bulldozer” — capable of removing any obstacle in the way of me meeting my business objectives. He praised me when I earned it. But even more importantly, he took it as his personal responsibility to give me the hard talks, when I needed to course-correct. Tim’s consistent example of how a leader should invest in the individuals he or she leads is the reason our company’s culture is so appealing. And, although he made me feel special, Tim shows no favoritism. In fact, everyone on my team received his signature variety of personalized attention. Tim’s exceptional time management skills are the hallmark of his mentorship and, in my opinion, the greatest gift he shares with those around him.
