The incomparable Tim McCracken Jr. has been thrilling audiences since the 1980's, when he served as lead singer for the popular Southern California oldies group, REVIVAL. With the group, McCracken toured the west coast, opening for such famous acts as Jan & Dean, The Bellamy Brothers, David Allen Coe, The Coasters, The Crests, The Del Vikings, The Drifters, The Platters, Joe Walsh (of the Eagles), and Tower of Power.
Some of McCracken's early musical influences were Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Neil Diamond. His strongest, however, was none other than the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis Presley. His "tribute" to the King has been called "one of the most impeccable and stunning impersonations ever done of the music of Elvis Presley".
Relocating to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 1993, McCracken’s music career was rekindled as he became a regular singer at local venues. His amazing portrayal of Elvis often brings sold-out crowds to their feet, earning him the title “Entertainer of the Year” at the Grapevine Opry for 2004. In addition to his frequent appearances at local opry’s, Tim works with family-owned and operated Diamond Entertainment to produce and promote his own incredible musical “Elvis Tributes” reminiscent of the King’s long string of sold-out performances in Las Vegas and across the country.
Tim’s gospel production, entitled “How Great Thou Art”, The Gospel Music of Elvis Presley, has become a huge favorite among his followers, attracting church groups and southern gospel fans from all over the southwest. His soulful performance of Elvis’ most popular gospel music includes his full band, and background quartets and trios. Recently, Tim teamed with Elvis’ former backup vocal group, The Stamps Quartet, to deliver an incredible concert for an audience of over fifteen-hundred southern gospel fans in Southlake, Texas.
Tim McCracken is an experienced recording artist, cutting his first album, "Goin' Back To Now" in 1991. In 1992, he recorded the single "I Hear La Quinta Calling Me" along with country star Trisha Yearwood,
(produced by famed "Jackson Five" recording executive, Fred
Rice). His latest project, entitled “The Gospel”, is a
compilation of some of Elvis Presley’s greatest gospel hits.
